Who We Are

AppGamut is a software consulting firm that helps businesses solve real operational problems with custom software. Our name reflects our practice: we cover the full gamut of application work — web, mobile, and the data that underpins both.

We were founded on the belief that most businesses don't need more software; they need the right software, built carefully by people who took the time to understand the problem. Our clients range from owner-operated companies to established mid-market firms, and many of our engagements begin the same way: a system that no longer fits, a process held together by spreadsheets, or data trapped in a platform that is being retired.

Our Philosophy

Understand first, build second. We do not write proposals from a phone call. Every project starts with genuine discovery — talking to the people who will use the system, not just the people who will pay for it.

Boring technology, exciting results. We choose mature, well-supported tools with long futures. Your business should never depend on last year's fashionable framework.

Your asset, not ours. Code, credentials, documentation, and data belong to you. We build systems your team — or any competent successor — can maintain. We measure success by how little you need us after handover, which is precisely why clients keep coming back.

Say the hard thing early. If a scope is unrealistic, a deadline is at risk, or an off-the-shelf product would serve you better than a custom build, we will tell you. Trust is our only durable marketing.

How We Engage

Most work is delivered under a fixed-scope statement of work with milestone billing. For evolving systems, we also offer ongoing maintenance and enhancement agreements with predictable monthly terms. Either way, you get named consultants, scheduled progress demonstrations, and written deliverables at every stage.
